History of the world in brief: Our first meeting

Jeff: I like to sit in the front row of classes, especially ones where there is a possibility I’m not very good in that subject. Sitting in the front row forces me to pay attention. So I walk up to the front of this long classroom and there are a limited number of seats available. Among the people sitting there was this girl wearing a bunch of strange earth tone colors. I remember thinking how the brown and green leggings were a little strange, but I was new at Emerson so I assumed that was just a thing people did. I also remember thinking that I had just gotten out of a long relationship and that I should under no circumstances get involved with someone shortly after that.

Jennie: I paid no mind to Jeff when I met him, really. I was still in a relationship and was talking this class my second semester of my freshman year to start my history minor. It was a long class and a lot of people were talking it to fulfill a requirement…so they were not really paying attention. Needless to say, I talked a lot, raised my hand a lot, and took copious notes. I took Jeff as another really interested student, and often complained to him about our classmates (are you surprised) but other than that, Jeff was another person in class.
